This sculpture shows a baby who did not get a chance at life. Something invisible and very powerful separates us from this child – death.

Even though we want to touch him, hug him, it is impossible. The only way how to be with him is in our imagination, to think about how the baby could look and what he could be like. In our imagination, the baby is trying to fight with the force that divides us, using his hands to get to us but it is impossible.

In his eyes, you can feel gloom, sorrow, the question “Why did you do this to me? … I would have loved you so much, and therefore, my little heart was beating from the beginning.”
